To build sustainable capacity in areas of research that increase health benefits for people and their livestock by supporting outstanding nationals from low- or middle-income countries to establish themselves as leading investigators in a low- or middle-income country. Awards for up to 5 years can provide for salary and related costs including assistance. Requires PhD or medical degree plus 5 years postdoctoral experience or equivalent.

The call is usually made between the months of junio and noviembre.

This scholarship considers applications three times a year.

Even in the period in which the call is closed, the Terms and Conditions are published permanently for those interested to know them in order to prepare for the next opening.
